Types of Pets Seen
Here at Miracle Hills Animal Hospital, we care for:
Immunization and Wellness Care
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in our Junior and Senior Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Junior Wellness program is designed specifically for pets under six years of age and includes: a comprehensive physical exam, internal parasite testing, heartworm testing, and specialized blood tests. The Senior Wellness program is designed for pets seven years or older and includes: a comprehensive physical exam, internal parasite testing, blood and eye pressures, x-rays of the chest, abdomen and hips and a full blood and urine work-up to screen every system within the body.
We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: cardiology, ophthalmology, neurology, dermatology, gastroenterology, oncology, and endocrinology among others. We utilize referral services for conditions and surgeries that may require a specialist.
Sometimes conditions arise that require veterinarians with specialized training. We will work with these board certified veterinary specialists to make sure your pet receives the best possible care.
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintain your pet's health. We use ultrasonic dental instruments to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians then polish teeth to create a smooth tooth surface which is more resistant to plaque buildup. At the end of each dental cleaning, we apply OraVet Gel to help prevent plaque and tartar buildup. Digital intraoral radiographs (x-rays) of each tooth in the mouth are also taken with every cleaning to ensure that no periodontal disease is left untreated. Advanced dental care, such as periodontal therapy and root canals, are also available. We will take a digital picture of your pet's mouth before and after their dental cleaning to show off their pearly whites.
We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened with blood and urine profiles prior to any surgery to ensure the appropriate anesthetics are chosen. Surgical services and facilities include: fully trained veterinary and technical staff, padded surgery tables for greater comfort, blood pressure and oxygen saturation monitors and intensive after surgery care.
Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. We will do everything within our power to alleviate pain or discomfort for your pet.
Digital Radiology (Full Body & Oral)
Digital Radiology - or X-rays - help our veterinarian quickly and efficiently evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive, urinary systems and tooth structures of your pet.
Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We will work with you, as the owner, to determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior. We will then develop a treatment regime for your pet.
Some pets require special food and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep them happy, healthy, and active. We keep Hill's Science Diet, Royal Canin and Purina Veterinary Diets stocked for our patients.
Treat your pet to a day at the spa! A groom includes a bath, professional cut, nail trim, ear hair removal, ear cleaning, and external anal gland expression. We also have medicated shampoos for those pets with skin problems.
Our qualified kennel attendant will provide tender, loving care and supervised outdoor playtime three times daily. Pets who stay for three nights or more will receive a complimentary bath the evening before going home. We also offer day boarding should the need arise.
We stock a wide variety of the best drugs in the veterinary health field.
Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer HomeAgain Microchips to ensure that your pet will be returned to you as safely and quickly as possible.
Saying goodbye to a longtime friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their comfort and dignity. Services include cremation, with remains returning in a cedar box with the option of an engraved plaque. Special urns are also available upon request.
Emergency & Urgent Care
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarian will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionist will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
Miracle Hills Animal Hospital accepts payment via cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Care Credit. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.
We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
The dental care process for my dog CoCo was AMAZING! This was the first oral check up for CoCo and the staff was to great about explaining everything to me. They kept me 'in the loop' on all they were doing and how CoCo was handling the process. They truly care about my dog and I couldn't be more appreciative.
